Morocco

Budget travel to amazing places

Morocco is one of my favorite countries overall and I often travel back to discover new corners of this fascinating destination. From deserts to mountains to endless beaches, there is something here for everybody. If you have any questions or want an opinion on your itinerary, feel free to contact me.

We visited Morocco for almost 2 months in late 2025. During that time we started surfing and visited surf towns up and down the coast from Essaouira to Mirleft. The laid back vibe, the guaranteed sunsets and the pleasant temperatures make it the perfect winter destination. Large stretches of the coast are still undiscovered by mass tourism and still offer that local charm, that many are looking for. In my guides about Surf Towns in Morocco I describe everyone in detail, so you can decide, which one fits you best.

During the first month in the country we also visited the High Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in a multi-day road trip, where we got to see the different landscapes and monuments, Morocco prides itself for. Especially the Desert is a sight to behold with it’s towering sand dunes in the distance and the small coffee cars on the side of the empty, endless roads.

And to round it all off, Morocco also has an amazing food scene. Tajine and Couscous dishes are everywhere with fish and meat grilled fresh every time.
