Budget travel guides, practical tips and off-the-beaten-path destinations based on my own travel experiences.

Who I am

I’m Marius, a 22-year-old university student from Germany with a passion for discovering places beyond the typical tourist route. Since childhood I have been lucky to be able to see the world beyond daily life and was in the position to travel with my parents for many years. Once I moved out and started my own life in a new city with my own goals and responsibilities, I still had the passion for travelling in me. The thing I realized pretty quickly though was, in order to keep doing what I love I had to adapt. Seeing new places with a lot of money is easy, but quite hard, when there is no big budget available. Through time I discovered more and more tips and tricks that helped me make budget travelling simpler, more efficient and a bit more comfortable. In 2024–2025, my girlfriend and I spent an entire year travelling through Europe, North Africa and Asia on a budget. During that time I learned how to travel more efficiently, save money and discover places that many visitors overlook.

What I can do for you

Every article on this website is based on my own trips, research and personal experience.

With this blog, I want to share my knowledge and my experiences about the places I traveled to with you. I realized pretty fast, that the further you get from major tourism hubs and into areas that have far less tourists and tourism infrastructure in place, that information can be hard to come by. Instead of generic travel guides, I therefore focus on destinations, activities and practical information that are difficult to find elsewhere.

If you read one of my posts and you think something is wrong, outdated or you just want more details about a specific place or itinerary, feel free to contact me, I am glad to help (free of charge of course). You will find my contact details here.
