Travel Philosophy
During my travels, I always try to „live“ as close to the local population as possible. The main way I try to achieve this is by understanding how their way of life actually works. Where do they eat? How do they get around? What is interesting to them? A couple years ago, going on vacation felt repetitive and dull, as I only went from tourist attraction to tourist attraction, took a photo and then moved on again. By changing my mindset, I may miss out on some „bucket list“ destinations, but in my opinion, I am really in touch with the country and get a feel for it.
In addition to that, I always try to travel as cheaply as possible. Mainly of course, because I am a student of course and do not have that much income to plan my journeys around. By travelling cheaply though, you might opt for the options that are not as comfortable, but offer the adventure of a life time and that is what makes any trip special in my opinion.
